သီခ်င္းေလးေတြ ဆိုျငီးရင္း အဂၤလိပ္စာ ေလ႔လာၾကရေအာင္
အမွတ္စဥ္ (၃)

အခုတစ္ေခါက္ေတာ႔ ေအာ္စီက ေရာ႔(ခ္)အေပ်ာ႔စားအဖြဲ႔( A Soft Rock Band)နဲ႔ မိတ္ဆက္ေပးခ်င္ပါတယ္။ ဒီအဖြဲ႔လည္း ျမန္မာျပည္ကို လာေဖ်ာ္ေျဖသြားေသးတယ္။ ၁၉၇၅ ခုႏွစ္က ဒီအဖဲြဲ႔ကို ကိုယ္တိုင္ေတးေရးေတးဆို ဂစ္တာသမား Graham Russell နဲ႔ အဓိကအဆိုေတာ္ Russell Hitchcock တို႔က စတင္တည္ေထာင္ခဲ႔တဲ႔ အတြဲညီတဲ႔သူေတြ soft rock duo(ႏွစ္ေယာက္တြဲ) ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ တစ္ဦးခ်င္းေကာ စံုတြဲသီခ်င္းေတြပါ ဆိုၾကတယ္။ အခု မိန္းကေလးသံနဲ႔ ပိုင္ပိုင္ႏိုင္ႏိုင္ဆိုတတ္တဲ႔ Russsell Hitchcock ရဲ႕သီခ်င္းကို ျမည္းစမ္းၾကည္႔ၾကရေအာင္။

သီခ်င္းကို ေသေသခ်ာခ်ာ နားေထာင္ပါ။ စကားလံုး တစ္လံုးနဲ႔တစ္လံုး အသံဆက္ယူသြားတာေတြ(link-up)ကို ဂရုစိုက္နားေထာင္ပါ။ အဓိပၸါယ္သိရင္ အလြတ္ရဖို႔ သိပ္မခက္ပါဘူး။ စာေရးသူ ဘာသာျပန္ေပးတဲ႔ ေနရာမွာပဲ လမ္းမဆံုးပါေစနဲ႔။ စာေၾကာင္းတစ္ေၾကာင္းကို နည္းလမ္းတက် နားလည္လာတဲ႔အခါ ကိုယ္ပိုင္ဥာဏ္နဲ႔ကြန္႔ျမဴးျပီး ဒီထက္ပိုေကာင္းတဲ႔ စကားလံုးေတြနဲ႔ ဘာသာျပန္တတ္ေအာင္ ၾကိဳးစားရမယ္ဆိုတဲ႔စိတ္ကို ျပဌာန္းထားပါ။ ေနရာတကာ ဆရာကိုအားကိုးတဲ႔စိတ္ကို ေဖ်ာက္ပါ။ တကယ္တတ္ခ်င္ရင္ ကိုယ္တိုင္ေလ႔လာ(self-study)ပါ။ အဂၤလိပ္စာ တတ္ခ်င္တဲ႔လူ ေတာ္ေတာ္မ်ားမ်ားက သဒၵါစာအုပ္၊ အီဒီယမ္(idiom) ေလ႔လာတာနဲ႔ပဲလမ္းဆံုးေနၾကတယ္။ အဂၤလိပ္စာအုပ္ေတြကို ဖတ္ဖို႔ေတာ႔ စိတ္မကူးပံုမရၾကဘူး။ အဂၤလိပ္စာသင္တဲ႔ ဆရာေတြဆိုလည္း အမ်ားအားျဖင္႔ေတာ႔ သူတို႔သင္တဲ႔ျပဌာန္းစာအုပ္ကိုေတာ႔ ပိုင္ပိုင္ႏိုင္ႏိုင္သင္ႏိုင္ၾကေပမဲ႔ ကိုယ္တိုင္ အဂၤလိပ္စာအုပ္ေတြကို မဖတ္ၾကေတာ႔ တပည္႔ေတြကိုလည္း အဂၤလိပ္စာတတ္ေအာင္ လမ္းမညႊန္ႏိုင္ၾကေတာ႔ တက္လူငယ္ေတြလည္း အဲဒီေနရာမွာပဲ လမ္းဆံုးေနၾကရရွာတယ္။ ဘယ္အကိစၥ၊ ဘယ္အေျခအေနမွာမဆို (တရားအားထုတ္တာအဆံုး) ေရာက္ေနတဲ႔ေနရာေလးမွာပဲ သာယာေၾကနပ္ေနရင္ ေရွ႕မတက္ႏိုင္ေတာ႔ဘူး။ နားရည္၀ခ်င္ရင္ မ်ားမ်ားနားေထာင္၊ ေျပာတတ္ခ်င္ရင္ မ်ားမ်ားေျပာ၊ ေရးတတ္ခ်င္ရင္ မ်ားမ်ားေရးေပါ႔။ နားေထာင္စမရွိရင္ အစမွာေတာ႔ သိပ္အရသာေတြ႔မွာမဟုတ္ဘူး။ သီခ်င္းေတြကို စနစ္တက်ေလ႔လာ၊ လိုက္ဆိုရင္း အလြတ္ရလာျပီ ဒါမွမဟုတ္ စကားလံုးေတြကို လိုက္ဖမ္းမိလာရင္ ေနာက္ဆိုကိုယ္မသိတဲ႔ သီခ်င္းတစ္ပုဒ္နားေထာင္ရင္ ဒီစကားလံုးျပီးရင္ ေနာက္လာမဲ႔ စကားလံုးကိုေတာင္ ခန္႔မွန္းႏိုင္လာပါလိမ္႔မယ္။ ေနာက္မွ အလ်ဥ္းသင္႔သလို ေျပာသြားပါ႔မယ္။

Lonely is the night. Lonely am I. ဆိုတာေတြက အေလးအနက္ထား ေျပာတဲ႔အခါသံုးတဲ႔ ပံုစံေတြေပါ႔။ The night is lonely. I miss you so much. အရမ္းလြမ္းတယ္။ I missed the 9:30 train. ၉နာရီခြဲရထားကို မမီေတာ႔ဘူး။ Don’t miss your opportunity. အခြင္႔အေရးကို လက္လြတ္မခံနဲ႔။ The police are looking for the missing child. ေပ်ာက္ေနတဲ႔ ကေလးကို ရွာေနၾကတာ။ အသံုး မတူတာကို သတိျပဳပါ။ gotta (=has/have got to) ရမယ္။ I’ve just got to find her. သူ႔ကို ရွာေတြ႕မွ ျဖစ္မယ္။ When there is a will, there is a way. လိုလ်င္ၾကံဆ နည္းလမ္းရ။ ain’t (=is not/ are not/has not/have not) မဟုတ္တာ။ မရွိတာ။ ဒီေနရာမွာ fake က pretend ဟန္ေဆာင္တာ။ fake leather ဆိုရင္ သားေရအတု။ fake ရဲ႕ antonym(ဆန္႔က်င္ဘက္ စကားလံုး)က genuine ပါ။ genuine(authentic) leather သားေရအစစ္။ Are you alright?(= Are you OK?) အဆင္ေျပတယ္ မဟုတ္လား။ shine through (of a quality) to be easy to see or notice အရည္အေသြးကို အလြယ္တကူ ျမင္ႏိုင္၊ သတိျပဳႏိုင္တာ။ ဒီသီခ်င္းမွာ through က အစကေန ဆံုးခန္းတိုင္ေအာင္လို႔ ဆိုလိုတဲ႔ ၀ိဘတ္ေပါ႔။ The kids are too young to sit through a concert. ကေလးေတြက ငယ္လြန္းေတာ႔ ပြဲျပီးတဲ႔အထိ ဘယ္ထိုင္ႏိုင္မလဲ။ too….to ပံုစံကို သံုးရင္ negative sense ပါတာကိုသတိထားပါ။ ကေလးေတြ မထိုင္ႏိုင္ဘူးလို႔ေျပာတာ။ အျငင္းအဓိပၸါယ္မျဖစ္ခ်င္ရင္ The coffee is so hot. ေတာ္ေတာ္ပူတယ္။ ေသာက္လို႔ ရႏိုင္ေသးတယ္။ The coffee is too hot for me/him/her to drink. ဒါဆိုရင္ မေသာက္ႏိုင္ဘူး ဆိုတဲ႔အဓိပၸါယ္ ျဖစ္သြားျပီ။
